"The fact is, Walker is carrying out the wishes of his corporate master, David Koch, who calls the tune these days for Wisconsin Republicans. Walker is just one among many Wisconsin Republicans supported by Koch Industries -- run by David Koch and his brother, Charles -- and Americans For Prosperity, the astroturf group founded and funded by David Koch. The Koch brothers are hell-bent on destroying the labor movement once and for all."

Yep, Wisconsin Republicans should be mighty proud of their elected Republicans.

The republicans are not able to compete on a level playing field, so it's their goal to destroy the unions. They have already squashed the private sector unions, so now they're going after the public employees.

I'm all for them breaking the union's backs if they can. The unions have been taken over by radical leftists/communist thugs.

Why would government employees need a union to protect them from their employer..the government itself ?

I'm sure you'll still be delighted some day when you and/or your husband have to work for below minimum wage. Just keep on celebrating.

It's hard to comprehend that anyone with more braincells than their shoe size actually believes such idiocy.

Don't worry. Obummer and BB are hard at work already. Don't need to bust unions. Just print more money and devalue it.

Funny thing about the labor movement, since the middle of the 19th century, folks like the Kochs and these reactionary governors have used everything from armed thugs to the Supreme Court to destroy unions and nothing in that long history has been able to defeat working men and women from joining together to advance the rights of working people. They have succeed to hold unions a bay for periods of time, but they have never, will never, destroy the American labor movement. That's a fact that I would bet my life on.

The governmnet has taken over where unions began a century ago in protecting all working people regardless of their affiliations from unfair labor proctices, unsafe working conditions. The unions may not have outlived their usefullness if they had not been so greedy as to break the backs of the taxpayers through the public employees union.

The unions are destroying themselves before your eyes. When there is no money left to fund their bennies, there is no money left. You can't get blood from a stone.

With some modifications and increases in union member contributions towards their own benefit, they can secure their futures. If they don't, the tower of cards will crumble. The phrase "cutting off your nose to spite your face" comes to mind.
