True that. Do administrators face as many paycuts as teachers?

The average teachers salary in Chicago is 54,000. For what little work they do, yes they are overpaid.

Maybe the parents to which you refer are actually too busy earning enough money to pay the exorbitant taxes that are foisted upon them.

America's subtle anti-education attitudes will show their results in about one generation.
Why on Earth do you believe lies will help your argument?

Actually they average $62,000 a year.

Cost of living should be taken into account.

I used to believe that teachers were overpaid but since Ive been in a relationship with a teacher for 6 years now, I have completely decided they are underpaid. The absolute crap that teachers have to deal with, whether with parents who dont care or kids who have no manners, the job just sucks. They really do need all that time off to "cool off". Would you want to teach 30 random kids for 7 hours a day?

I think that is more the fault of politicians and special interest groups...... and.....overpaid hierarchy/administrator types.

Here is Media Matters bragging that in Wisconsin, 8th grade reading scores are higher than the national average.

In Wisconsin, 32% of 8th graders are proficient - 30% nationally.

If you think that is something to brag about and/or to spin it as a "right-wing gotcha headline", you are part of the problem.
