Seriously, how hard is that to understand? How is it any different to the fact that doctors and nurses cannot unionize? Both of these groups serve the people and thus they shouldn't be allowed to unionize.

It's hard for people to understand because most think every problem should be solved with violence.

Not allowing people to unionize is a fascist idea. Besides, how come I hear about this from the same people who support the Citizen's United decision made last year?

BTW, doctors and nurses do unionize. AMA is an example of a union.

Here in CA the Nurses I do believe are unionized and did in fact strike.
Bad for everyone.

Unions are cancer to where they are at.
Most all private businesses die with unions instead of thrive from them. It starts out with safer working conditions and always ends with a gun to the business owner's head.

As far as Government Employee Unions, they should be banned. That is a monopoly and exactly one of the things by law the government is meant to prevent.
They are making the country financially die even more than government great society programs they are so bad.

End them, don't mend them.

The AMA is not a union. The AMA only represents less 20% of physicians so it can hardly be classified as a union.

Their mission is to promote the art and science of medicine and the betterment of public health.

AMA - Our Mission

Not allowing a person to choose whether or not to join the union is fascism. That's the issue---the teachers who don't join the union will have money to invest in health care and pension funds.

A Fascist idea
You do know what FDR, the God of Democratic reform said about public sector unions right?

Franklin D. Roosevelt: Letter on the Resolution of Federation of Federal Employees Against Strikes in Federal Service

All Government employees should realize that the process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service

Particularly, I want to emphasize my conviction that militant tactics have no place in the functions of any organization of Government employees. Upon employees in the Federal service rests the obligation to serve the whole people, whose interests and welfare require orderliness and continuity in the conduct of Government activities.

A 2002 study shows that unions have cost the U.S. economy $50 trillion over the past six decades.

AMA is a union. Do you think if they call it an "association", they are not a union? It must be all in the name, as it always appears to be.
