Then why is the HHS Dept. using the funds to advertise an anti-obesity campaign? What jobs is this creating? Is the appropriate use of funds as voted by Congress?

It is a waste of money. Not only that, gov't has no business telling us what we shouldn't eat or drink. It's NONE of their damn business.

So, you're okay with Big Brother taking your money and telling you what you shouldn't eat or drink. Why spend money on that?

Agreed. Not only that, but recently NYC passed a ban on smoking in public areas. No regard for civil liberties.

Weren't funds from the "Recovery Act" to stimulate jobs?
Actually... not specifically. They were to end a recession.

Jobs is just part of that.

Silly me, this was the legislation that was passed in "fill-in-the-blank" form by Nancy Pelosi's House wasn't it?

Hey, thanks for playing!

As with all government bureaucracies they need to continually increase spending to justify their existence and expansion.

What jobs is this creating?
Certainly a few jobs were created but hardly is it justified.

Certainly isn't, this would have better spent on something that gives us long term benefits. Roads etc.

BECAUSE 95% of the job stimulous only was given to government connected unions so a lot of the money could come back to the Democrat party in donations.
