Actually Finland was both best, and happiest this year. I think Denmark was happiest last year. I seriously don't get it how either of the two could be happiest.
Yes, but its cold in Finland, Denmark, and Switzerland.
I want to be where its warm, and close to the water.

Switzerland is not that cold, but Finland was -40 last week and that pretty much takes it out of the competition. Same with Denmark.
Australia has a nice ring to it. I have never been there, but I do have some family living there and they swear it is the best country in the world in every possible way. Little bias maybe..... I will probably retire in Panama myself. Live by the beach, suba dive, play golf and pull in some Mahi-Mahi for dinner. I like Miami, but I doubt I will afford to retire here due to property taxes and price of medical care and high cost of living. US prices itself out of the competition, and it is only getting worse.
True that. I would too but I then I found out how racist Switzerland is. And they have reason to be with the immigrants that cause trouble over there. But their racism issues have been there long before the immigrants got there. So I would say Canada. British Columbia!
I've only been to Vienna. It's a wonderful place to visit. Saw the Belvedere, the Hundertwasser Haus, and the Natural History Museum has the best exhibit of Egyptian artifacts I've ever seen. And the cafes are fine for relaxing.
I never cared much for Peter Alexander, except for "Der Kleine Kneipe In Unsere Strasse".

Canada ???? I would need to have a winter home somewhere for 10 months out of the year.

What an ignorant comment. Many parts of the U.S. are far colder than parts of Canada. In fact the coastal areas of Southern B.C. rarely get snow.
Does that mean that if you live in about 35 of the 50 states you would also need to have a home somewhere else for 10 months of the year?
