The roadblock is the public employee unions and the WI Dem Senators. They are blocking what the majority in WI endorsed when they overwhelmingly elected Walker and Republicans in this past election.

The math doesn't lie. Taxpayers are tapped out. Dems' and unions' stalling on this into eternity cannot change that reality.

And they would have reinstated the concessions down the road. The collective bargaining reform is needed, not just at the state level, but at the local level as well, for towns, cities, counties dealing with lavish union demands.

After 60 hours of debate, hundreds of amendments, the bill is passed.

Nope - the taxpayers are forced to fund the salaries and benefits demanded by the public employee unions at both levels.

It seems union members think people who have no part in causing the mess or get ANY of the union benefits should pay for their shortcomings. I thought the Dem party and the unions are for the COLLECTIVE? You know, EVERYONE? It seems they are not in any way about everyone, just themselves.
My sincerest condolences. As a former member and steward I sympathize with you.

Oh how true, in California every one wanted to go after the pensions but not the pension board members who were beingh paid over half a million each to screw things up

Well... let's look at what Gallup has to say about how many taxpayers are willing to pay more for public employee unions' demands: "71% of Americans said they would oppose a hike on sales, income or other taxes to tackle budget shortfalls"

you do know union members are also tax payers, don't you.
They are a small minority of the taxpayer group, and as such are vastly outnumbered. Note the statistic on taxpayers unwilling to pay any more than they already do - 71%

Excuses and rhetoric, is that all you have left? The Dems did not create the mess we are in, they only controlled one house in Washingtoon until two years ago and they did not have a super majority, the prior six years were run by the Repubs and that is the time frame when things when to sh*t. The Dems only had all three houses for two years so to blame them for everything is pure dishonesty at it's finest.
Blame and excuses that has been the right-wing mantra for years now and we see how hey plan on using their new found power, enjoy it while it lasts, it will be a short run of two years for ya.

If you give up your rights you will play h*ll getting them back, the teachers are not so stupid as to trust the GOP to keep their word since they have already proven they do not care one bit about the People.
