Did you see the one older man speaking at the "meeting?" I think it said he was a professor. And several of the attendees were from various unions. What struck me as so sad, was the idea that instead of respecting and admiring the guy who came from poverty and started the restaurant from scratch, and through his own ingenuity and hard work and risk built it into something big and fun for people to enjoy going to and providing jobs to others, that this little punk socialist thinks its his right to take over equal ownership of the restaurant and have equal power and say in everything. That's socialism. Reminds me of Dr. Zhivago. Dismal and grey.
Yet they think they have some "big new idea" that no other generation has.
So much for history classes sinking in and foolish behavior NOT repeating itself.
Intellectual smarty pants at their best. And they vote. But they're "intellectuals", based on some liberal/socialistic "ideology" that works better in Europe than in the US... and their votes supposedly mean more in some effed up liberal world - doesn't matter how stupid and clueless they really are.
The axis shift is happening fast, it is not left/right, it is authoritarian/freedom, bouncing the power between two sides of authoritarianism is not the answer.

And which side would you place the kid who grew up poor, used his intellect, imagination, ingenuity and placed everything on the line to start his own restaurant that grew successful enough for him to provide jobs to others and a place for people to enjoy coming to - you know the guy that the socialist kid in the video calls a "dictator." Would you place the Noodles owner on the side of Authoritarian or Freedom in your equation?

If the Noodles guy used a lot of corporate welfare, government loans and has his liability protected by the government, by default he is an authoritarian. Not to the extreme of the socialist but still a problem.
If we took away his government protections, I would be happy to support his truly free market company.

So you do support the Free Market? BTW, the article said Noodles Guy scraped together the money from friends and family and maxed out 8 credit cards to start the restaurant he had sketched out on a napkin.
