Those politicians are NOT representing their constituents, the taxpayers. They're representing a very small special interest group hell bent on reaming the taxpayers for more and more.
Then don't vote for them next time.

Completely aside from the fact that Fox is totally biased against unions in the first place...what would anyone who works for Fox News know about an actual investigation of anything?
And have you somehow proven that Mayor Cieslewicz in in the pocket of the unions? Because unless you can prove that this is a corrupt mayor being paid off by unions, you have a problem. You are slandering this man unless you have proof. Provide proof.

Wait--first off, Citizens for Responsible Government is a tea party group--not a neutral media watch dog. Go check out their site. I'd give them about as much credibility as I'd give Glenn Beck
Since when is it a crime for a Mayor to contact his State representative about an issue impacting city government? Do you think perhaps that the mayor might want to avoid throwing city government into immediate chaos if the bill passed, and the entire structure changed, with no warning, especially since they were trying to wrap up contract negotiations? Remember--the initial R plan was to pass this bill in less than a week with no public debate. They even initially lied to the D's in the house about the vote time so they couldn't try to offer amendments or demand a debate. I'm sure there were lots of school boards and local governments trying to figure out what was going on. A request to buy time was not unreasonable--bills like this are usually passed with months of debate, and time to make plans.
If the mayor was trying to do a sneaky backroom deal, do you think he would have put it in a written request to the rep? You've got to be kidding me. This was about as above board as it gets.
Where, any place in all of this, do the unions come in? Did they contact the state rep? The accusation of collusion has absolutely nothing to back it up that I can see.
Last--it didn't happen. They didn't slow down the printing of the bill. The request was rejected. FOX couldn't find any record of the Dem Senators leaving for any of these reasons--they admitted that in your own link and FOX broadcast.

Do you understand what collusion is? Also, just b/c the Dems are not admitting this to be a reason they ran, that does not mean it's not what's going on underneath it all. The Dems said they know they will lose when they come back, no matter when that is, but they choose to shirk their duties and stay away. What other reason could there be? I have heard all over the local news that public sector employers are scrambling to renew their CB contracts before the bill passes...now why do you suppose that is?
Does the mayor personally benefit from the union contract being completed? No. The only thing he gained by having a few more days (by coincidence--his request was rejected) is losing the nightmare of having to come up with an entirely new set of employment policies and a benefits plan for the unionized city staff within days if the contract wasn't completed in time, and it was thrown out by the legislation. Sounds like a smart administrator to me. Now they have time to plan and regroup in an organized way.

Exactly. They're all scrambling to ink their screw the taxpayers contracts before Walker and the Republicans remove their ability to do so. The AWOL Dem Senators are enabling the continued reaming of the WI taxpayers.
Don't think for a minute the taxpayers will forget about this cowardly betrayal by the Dems when their property tax bills arrive in the mail and the amount they owe is higher than ever.
