BTW, another fuel saving measure would be to stop providing police with big-ass V8 cruisers. It's hard to justify having a V8 for an in city/town police car when they rarely get above 50 mph. Highway patrol...I can see the use for a V8. In town...hell no.

Are you serious or is this just another of your "stir the pot" posts?

Tell me how having a V8 engine is justified while driving around WITHIN a city or town? Yes, I know some cities have gone the V6 route (Nashville), but there are A LOT that haven't.

Since you didn't answer my question, I'm going to assume this is a farce. It should be self-explanatory as to why even municipal police need cars with power.

I am serious. Justify why in-city/town police need V8's. Are you saying cops in Nashville can't catch anyone because of having a V6?

BTW...you can have power and have less than 8 cyl.

There is no way to justify it.

Lots of foreign countries (france, england, germany, etc) have small police cars that are great on gas. Why can that be done here in the usa ?
