M&I Bank, which made about $1.7 million in loans to a former state employee charged with embezzling taxpayer money, has sued her, demanding the return of the loaned money.
The bank said in its lawsuit filed Friday against Malini Sathasivam, 49, that it had extended credit to her 16 times since May 2003. Last month, its employees learned from a newspaper story that Sathasivam, whom they had known as "Stella Segaran," is accused of embezzling more than $165,000 from the state Department of Commerce.
Sathasivam of Fitchburg, who also uses the names Malini Ganeshapillai and Malini Pillai, was also charged...

You are assuming they do not have the money. Show me some factual data to back up your assumption. Otherwise, we can all assume you pulled that out of your behind. Are you taking this tactic out of the Fox News play book?

Okay "Tightwad", let me ask you:

Who doesn't work? Define "Working Families" I suspect you mean, Union 'workers' families.
Very few people do not work. Rich or poor. Almost everyone works. And they work hard for what they have.

"Workers" is a socialist term.

The gravy train is over. People cannot afford to pay more to a "servant class" (public employees) than they themselves earn. Would you pay a servant in your home more than you earn? I doubt it.

We are on a road to destruction.

Um... if they had the money, they would have to pay one way or another. You are aware that wages can be attached and assets can be seized for tax delinqencies, no?

Enforced collection actions available to the department include, but are not limited to:

  • Levies
  • Seizures of property
  • Referrals to a private collection agency
  • License or permit revocations
  • Corporate responsible person assessments

If there was any money available through any of those methods, the State of WI would have collected the delinquency.

Perhaps it is time the private sector employees realize they got the shaft by their employers long ago. Rather than realizing this and wanting to fight for their fair wage, they would rather take everyone else down with them. Sort of a perverted socialism mentality.

She isn't paying it because she doesn't have it.

How many times do we have to tell you all that there is no money.
