Well, since it is usually black on black crime....maybe the black population needs to quit killing each other.

What they need to do is - have a reason to care about themselves as well as others. It almost always goes back to them not having two parents as they grow up giving them love, direction and encouragement. Sadly, a large percentage (likely a majority) of black children are raised by their unwed mother or grandmother. I'm guessing the problem is getting worse, not better. They've got two strikes against them before they get out of diapers - and often end up in jail as a young adult because they have no respect for the law or any human being...or end up being killed because they were hanging around others just like them. And blacks wonder in amazement why so many people feel the way they do about them. They would have to be an absolute fool not to know why.

You mean, law-abiding, educated and responsible blacks who contribute to society wonder in amazement why so many people feel the way they do about them. The real absolute fools are the ones who see some black people behaving badly and judge us all based on that. For some reason we aren't allowed to be looked at as separate individuals.

I have all the respect in the world for any well-balanced, law-abiding, educated, caring person. Sadly, there are far too many blacks (percentage wise) that do not fall into this category. You know that, and I know that... There are far too many blacks that fall out of high school, wear stupid looking clothes with their underwear showing, talk some crazy way that no one can understand them, use drugs, deal in drugs, lie, cheat, steal, have no respect for women when it comes to pregnancy or marriage, and generally have a chip on the shoulder since they were 12 years-old. Those are the ones I'm talking about and unfortunately they bring down the entire race from a general perspective. There is no doubt there are many good, solid blacks...but there are far too many that are not - and that's the problem.

That's totally not true. Any race can drop out of high school and never return. Usually socioeconomic reasons are a factor. Not only do blacks drop out but whites and hispanics drop out also. So don't just put it on blacks. It's a shame to see how many of you still judge an entire race of folks on some stupid stereotype. Blacks, Whites and all kinds of folks wear baggy clothing. To say Blacks wears stupid looking clothing is just showing how limited you are socially and mentally. Talk some crazy way? To be perfectly honest, no one really speaks "normal" or correct english, even professionals have poor grammar. But everyone is different. Some folks take after their parents while some don't and that can be found in any race of folks not just blacks. Now, there are many whites and other races who use drugs, deal drugs, lie, cheat, steal, and have no respect for women when it comes to pregnancy or marriage as well.

you, scarlet oharra, high cotton, randy, etc. etc. are the usual suspects in these black discussions who have absolutely nothing to contribute but everything to whine about.

You're also the same group of people who will talk sideways about African Americans out of one corner of your mouth and then talk about how much more respectful/studious/hard-working Africans are than African Americans are out the other corner when you all know damn well that you don't see any difference between them when you pass by them on the street, and then have the nerve to act like you aren't the same people making a billion threads about why Africa is "uncivilized". For all the "complements" you people have about Africans and their culture, you don't ever seem to connect the dots. What culture do you think African Americans had before White Americans stripped them of it? Martian?

You're the same people who complain every January 15th about the existence of MLK day for no reason other than because a black person gets a holiday. You ***** about the "misogynistic and violent" black culture but scoff at positive black role models.

You're the same people who scoff at the impact of slavery on blacks but probably don't know an African American with a last name that isn't Smith/Johnson/Jackson/Lee/Williams or another English name. Most of you don't know any African Americans personally at all.

You're the same people who snicker at the black dropout rate but cry foul when blacks go to college and claim they're affirmative action babies who didn't actually work for it (read: they're "lazy"). You're the same people who call HBCUs "diploma hand-out centers" while knowing that Morehouse is the #1 liberal arts college in the country.

You're the same people who claim that America is too politically correct on one hand but try to paint the term "racist" as a pejorative because too many conservative politicians get caught being racist and are called out for it.

You people are bigots.

Any questions?

I don't have much to say on this thread but I will say your not being honest with your initial quote and I really think that America as a nation needs to grow up and have a serious talk about how bad crime is in its minority neighborhoods so we can come up with a solution. Black america needs leaders pushing self-responsbility and self-reliance, something I think Obama has started to do but given his bigger problems in the world has not been able to spend much time on.

Everyone needs to take responsibility, and I think if we've sent trillions to the banks we should expect them to reinvest in the US starting with small business loans to entrepreneurs in areas where it has been traditionally difficult to obtain loans (both heavily minority populated areas and rural areas).
Thanks for telling me what I already knew. Murder is the leading cause of dealth among Black American males 15 to 24 and 25 to 34. There is REALLY no nothing new here.

And yes the only people that are going to solve this problem are people that are involved in lifestyles that encourage violence.

Thanks for sharing!
