911 was not even close to the worst day ever. The beginning of the Civil War would get my vote since it resulted in the most American deaths and destruction in our history.

I always remember the day and say a prayer for the victims and the families of those that died. Worst day in American History? Not hardly, maybe in recent years.

Hiroshima was a response to devastation to our country by theirs..... enough said.

I will do as we do each year and go to church and say a prayer for those that lost their lives and those that lost their family members.

Worst day ever is subjective (obviously). My parents were in their teens when JFK was assassinated. I think that might top their list. My grandparents might have said that it was Pearl Harbor. 9/11 holds that place for me since it was local to me (born and raised in NY, was attending college in NYC, had family working nearby WTC when it all happened).

9/11 probably holds the distinction of being one of the first American tragedies to "feel" so local to so many due to the speed and quantity of information that spread out after it happened. The quantity of news disseminated so quickly from so many sources.

How about a bomb being dropped on Hiroshima (by the US)?

How about concentration camps?
How about the Crusades?
How about the killing of over 100,000 Iraqi's for a lie?

Aren't there a lot of tragedies in this world?
Sep 1 2001 was definitely bad, but perhaps not the worst in the world.
Of course not, because aging hippies never care what happens to Americans.

Yes, she makes that quite clear in many of her posts.

So how exactly is that a liberal lie?

No, and it's not a lie.
Just because you don't like the truth, doesn't mean that it isn't true.

The OP didn't say that.
You don't get to interpret what the OP means.
And you certainly don't get to tell me to stop telling the truth.

Vietnam was worse than Sep 11.
There are a lot of things worse than Sep 11.

The topic was the worst day in American history, not world history. I don't think America had anything to do with the Crusades...
