Where did you see this ? You libs are strange . This thread is about the Attorney General Eric Holder not prosecuting cases against black people. That's what the hearing was about . He seems to be guilty , by his own admission.

This thread was started based on outrage over the "my people" quote.

The "my people" was in response to a guy in his 70s telling Holder that what the Black Panthers did was the most egregious act of voter intimidation he'd ever seen.

Holder responded by saying that claiming the Black Panthers' inappropriate actions were worse than what happened during the Civil Rights movement (which the guy was around for) does a disservice to the people who were jailed, beaten and even killed by people trying to intimidate and prevent African Americans from exercising their voting rights.

I think the OP has either completely misunderstood or completely misinterpreted the context of Holder's remarks (or both) because nowhere in there or anywhere else in his testimony did Holder come close to saying he wasn't prosecuting cases against black people. In his testimony he explicitly denied having a race-based policy towards prosecutions of voter intimidation or voter suppression acts.

So this "his own admission" seems to be completely false, as does the interpretation the OP gave to what Holder said.

Yes, we (independents) are strange, we listen, think, and comprehend before we speak!!

Had you done the same you would have not made such an uninformed statement.

Seems it was a judgement by default, but was never pursued.
