I am not agreeing or disagreeing with you as much as pointing out, this is an opinon only. We all have them and opinions are not always facts.

With all due respect, Brits know as much about the US as we do about the UK. That would be whatever BS we pick up from the TV screen.

Unless, of course, one travels on business or has relatives in Britain.

I think it's hilarious that people will stake themselves out in two camps arguing about how to fix something that always happens...because it is part of nature...it is part of evolution...people are NOT created equal, people are not equally talented or intelligent, people are not equally motivated...so no matter how you try to rig the system this will keep happening over and over and over: the widening separation of the haves and the have-nots. Then *poof*! Revolution. Restructure. Try to balance it. 50 years later - same damn thing. The strong rise, the weak are winnowed out, people start getting resentful...

Good luck with this pointless endeavor. I think I hear Darwin laughing.

Another mirror image reversal. I can't think of a single religion that prohibits helping the poor, the ill, children or the elderly. It isn't as though people needing assistance become millionaires through it. The biggest sense of entitlement comes from people who believe that they're inherently superior to others and shouldn't have to work, but most people take pride in being able to provide for their families. Many take pride in a job well done, but out-sourcing has made that difficult. If one prefers to leave religion out of the equation, there is still the element of morality to be considered: Do we want to be a nation that turns its back on those in need?

its not about helping the poor,,its about poorquality policies out of washington...and I never mentioned religion

progressive liberals said globaization and 'freetrade' agreements would help and create jobs...they did..but overseas..ross perot even said you will hear that sucking sound, when he debated clinton on the issue....the democrat controlled congress passed nafta nad clinton signed in,,and no sooner than nafta's ink was dry he went to get china into the wto

look at the progressive liberal policy of welfare...began as a good idea..a helping hand for those that need it...but what you have is multi-generational welfare babies

look at medicare...progressive liberals said it would cost NO MORE than 20 billion in its 25th year (a 1965 prediction, for the 1990 cost) but in 1990 it cost 190 billion...today it has a annual cost of over 500 billion

look at the mortgage housing bubble of clintons when in 1995 he eased the rules for mortgages, and mandated that fannie/freddie back these exotic mortgages..housing prices skyrocketsed causing a bubble, and a burst.

liberals have killed the middleclass

Well, wch, I don't think dem libs took into account that people, like animals, will often do the least amount of work they have to in order to get by.

Big surprise people on the dole started 'on the dole multigenerational families' instead of actually using the opportunity to get out of poverty and make something of their lives.

Both parties show an appalling lack of understanding of basic human nature.
