Why does anyone have to justify their reasons for driving an SUV?

Hello? Anyone home? I linked you right to the whitehouse website, put up by Obama, taking credit for... wait, let me quote it..

This would surpass the CAFE law passed by Congress in 2007 required an average fuel economy of 35 mpg in 2020.

President Obama Announces National Fuel Efficiency Policy | The White House

You see that link.. WHITEHOUSE.GOV? You see the date? May 19, 2009.. You know who was president May 19, 2009? If you dont know.. it clearly tells you..

President Obama Announces National Fuel Efficiency Policy

I even linked it for your notice TWICE now..

This is the same poster that keeps blaming standards made in 1975, and blaming Ford, for policies signed by Obama.. Even after I linked her to whitehouse.com website with Obama taking the credit for new standards.. Go figure..

Ya know?

My husband is a little over 6'3" and I'm closer to 5'9" than not, and we have 3 kids who are on the taller side of the majority of their peers. Do I NEED to explain how uncomfortable a lot of cars are for all of us?

LMAO at the 5 of us in a Prius. Not every SUV (Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Tahoe, for examples) can fit us comfortably either.

We love our Suburban, thankyouverymuch. Room and comfort for all to sit for either the half block drive to the bus stop or a 10 hour trip somewhere.

No. I'm not sorry. We drive what we drive because it suits our family's needs to the T. Not because our government is trying to nickel and dime us to death in order to force us to buy their product.
We will just drive, fly and buy less (goods), and therefore have a negetive impact on the economy, as many other familes will also be forced to do.

Amen! I have no guilt at all driving my pickup truck. In fact, I feel pretty d*mned fortunate that I have the resources to buy and drive the vehicle that I want to, even if I have to drop an extra $20 - $30 in the tank these days.

If I choose to, I could ride my cycle or take DW's car, since we live on opposite schedules.

But I'll take the comfort and security of my truck any day of the week before I'd ever buy a little car again.
