I'll say it again... anybody who thinks that whites are institutionally oppressed in America are white and don't know what institutional oppression is.

let's pray for "white" Americans since they are so horribly oppressed! Someone call the UN or the NAACP!

No, but at the by the same token if person entering college today has benefitted from a system which has given him economic, social and political advantages that other people do not enjoy that needs to taken into consideration when students are considered.

No he is not being penalized. Whether that person participated in injustices in the past or not is irreverent he has benefitted from them, his parents have benefitted from them, his great grandparents benefitted from them. What is simply being done is taking into consideration due to historical events some people have advantages in society that others do not.

As much you try to deny it the past directly relevant to present social, economic and political events.

If you don't change the system then yor perpetuate it.

As time goes on those historical injustices will have less and less of an effect on contemporary social, economic and political circumstances if SOCIETY MOVES TO BEING MORE INCLUSIVE.

No, we are greedy, inhumane, and hypocritical, but we are not oppressed.

Maybe those people are just starting to get a taste of what we've been dishing out for centuries...?

If by being racially oppressed you mean that whites have let other races surpass them in education, skills, wages, and power, that might be true. But it's their own fault.
