Child porn laws are a violation of free market principles. Let the market decide!

Good luck getting the social conservatives/neocons to stand behind that idea.

I'm a true conservative (including social conservative) and I would (somewhat) stand behind it. I think the person involved in making the adult content material needs to be old enough to make an informed choice as to what he/she is doing. I think people are old enough to make that decision WAY before the age of 18. I think the long term damage that the Hollywood movie and television industry does to young actors is far worse than what might be done by posing nude in front of a camera. I would draw the line at young actors/actresses performing actual sex acts but simply posing nude sould not be illegal. It is only shameful because we say it is shameful. Young people and teens are texting nude pictures of themselves more and more these days anyway. Our current law of 18+ is a relic of the past.

In Japan, prior to the year 2000, there was no minimum age for nudety and it was quite common to see magazines of young models posing nude. Such magazines were not even restricted to 'adult' bookstores. You could find them in drug stores, grocery stores, and even in vending machines. The only restriction Japanese law had was no showing of genitals (of anyone of any age). Japan got along fine with that law until the US put pressure on them to copy our law and estabilish an age minimum of 18.

It's child porn, why, exactly?

(a) because you don't think the current age limit is appropriate, or

(b) because you view the superficialities of that adults appearance as being something nefarious and criminal, just because heaven forbid a person looks younger than they are (something many people usually find to be a beneficial quality, only hoping that they could be so lucky to age that gracefully),

(c) or is it because you think it's designed to be targeted towards people who like younger looking persons.... which then still begs the question how you remotely think it is child porn, since the person is an adult, regardless of their superficial appearance?

-------------
Yeah, I'm sure that black teenage you speak of was "exploited." They definitely were either holding a gun to her head, or picked her up out of a homeless camp and 'forced' her to take pictures because she had "no other options in life," or otherwise "tricked" her and took advantage of her naivety, because as we all know, eighteen year old adults can't make informed decisions and consent. In fact, I think all sex for those under 21 must be made illegal. Better make it 25 or 30, just to be safe. You have convinced me, thank you for making us see the light.

I'm back , and the answer to your question is...brum roll......
Because the LEGAL 18 YEARS OLD GIRL/WOMEN ''Look'' 8 to
12 YEARS OLD.....WHAT THE NAKE EYE SEES IS CHILD PORN...
can you dig it....''''and by the way SOME STATES ALLOW SEX
WITH 16 YEARS OLD GIRL/WOMEN....have a good day ...........howest2008

Show me evidence that computer generated child "porn" prevents or cuts down on sexual crimes on children and you MIGHT have a point.

I never said that computer generated child "porn" should not be illegal and is not wrong.
Wrong.. having a general desire to view children being hurt does not necessarily equate into hurting children. People watch bank robberies take place on tv, but yet there is no desire to rob a bank. They watch people being murdered, but that doesnt create a desire to murder. In order for your scenario to be true, watching murders on tv would mean you are enticed to murder people and hurt people but I doubt you have those urges... do you?

So you think only you should get to decide what is ok and what isnt? What gives you this authority?

I have never met a child molestor who was not conservative. "Why doesn't the government leave me alone' they say. Indeed, back when I practiced criminal law, virtually all my clients were conservative.

I'm not liberal. But I'm not neo-confused like you are. Unlike with the neo-confused, I side with liberals that I don't believe in killing others, or the death penalty.

John 13:34, Luke 6:27-28, 1 Peter 3:9. Do me a favor, and read those verses and remind yourself of how you should behave towards those you don't like. As for me, I will do my part for you Romans 12:14

It's really sad, that when it comes to crime in general, "conservatives" are the most hypocritical people. You shame us, and give the liberals ammo to attack us. Shame on you. Maybe you should learn, that because I don't believe in killing child molesters, does not mean I condone their behavior. I'm just not an uncivilized barbarian about it. Like I said before in another post, I'm not a radical Muslim I'm a civilized Christian. The law is the law, and the law says child molesters and sex offenders are not eligible for capital punishment, therefore, they are not to be killed. If you disagree, argue with your state representative.

Sure you're not.

Why do liberals always quote from a fictitious book?

How do I shame anybody? I'm not child molestor/pornographer apologist like you.

Typical liberal, you want to shove your perverted, disgusting lifestyles down society's throat as being 'nomal', and to break up the traditional family life, but say the pledge of allegiance? That's offensive!
