Sound like a good idea to you? You do remember what happened to GM, don't you? Still sound like a good idea to you? Now imagine every company in this nation undergoing the same exact thing at the same time.... I hope you have guns and lots of bullets...
And where do you think this money would come from to pay for the extra employees? THEY WOULD RAISE PRICES.. where would that get us?

I believe the cost of labor involved in car manufacturing is about 10%.. If they now have to hire more employees, are you willing to pay $4,000 more for a car to pay for the extra people?

Dont you think this would encorage companies that could to even further computerize and get rid employees? We are already seeing self checkouts at some grocery stores, wouldnt you think this would encourage more companies to get rid of employees because of the higher labor costs?

GM raised the prices of their cars and it was no longer competitive... this gets us nothing but possibly total anarchy... that's why I said I hope you have guns and lots of bullets... cause you are going to need them...

I don't think it would work. In France they cut the workweek and it didn't increase employment. But it did give them more time off, as if getting five weeks of vacation isn't enough time off.

I could work zero hours a week or 100 hours a week. I work until the job is completed.

Do I get overtime pay? no. I don't work by salary or by the hour.
