It's a dem thing---my father was a dem and he would bust something if he saw their behavior today, cause he was a 'fight for right' kind of person. Not this run away and fight another day, they display in this era.

Walker needs them to come back and work this out and because they do not, I haven't any respect for them, at all. That is just not a professional way of handling a problem running away never fixed anything and they are looking more and more, like their symbol.

An interesting thing about the Dem's bolting in Texas a few years back, is what they were bolting over ultimately got Delay thrown in jail.

Actually it's not just a "Dem" thing.
Gop Reps walked out of Congress in protest back in 2008 to prevent a vote they knew they would lose.
Lincoln even did the same thing during his initial term as a Whig.
It's not happened often - but it has happened (and BOTH sides have done it).

This "run and hide" tactic will backfire on the Dems, BIG time. WI taxpayers are already aware of the fact that the Dems did this to stall passage of the bill so that unions could ink new contracts and exempt themselves from the bill's cost-saving measures. WI taxpayers are keeping a running tally of which unions pulled this crap, will compare those extra costs to the contracts signed after the bill passes, and use the extra costs to the taxpayers against the Dems in the next election.

The Dems are sabotaging themselves. Doesn't get any better than that.

Well then you should be HAPPY & hope that it goes on as long a possible.

Of course it seems that polls (even Rasmussen) show just the opposite is happening - with support for the governor & his plan dropping.

Ken

That will change when the WI taxpayers see EXACTLY how this affects their tax bills.

The tactical error Dems are making is that there will be more people unhappy about higher tax bills than there are public employee union members. End game: the Dems have screwed themselves.

Fuzzy math. Walker double counted in his budget. His savings from taking away from teachers benefits and salaries were gobbled up by his tax breaks given to corporations.

Ummm that must be why polls are continuing to show that most people in WI do NOT support what the governor is doing.

No, they have not. It doesn't matter how many times you repeat the above message, that repetition does not make your message true. IMO, the "end game" is that the WI governor has "screwed" himself.

I'm sorry.... but that's just funny.

Taxpayers don't really do that. They never have, they never will. That requires math. And most people (as these boards show) are not willing to do math.

It's wonderful that you have reached that conclusion. That's one.
