Most, if not every, time you hear about the greed of people, it is the greed of the rich. Why do we, as a society, seem to not care about or address the greed of non-rich? Obviously mostly everyone wants more than the have, but isn't EXPECTING more than you have worked for also greed? I am talking about people who are able to work and be productive, not people who have issues that prevent from being productive. By the way, I am lower middle class.

I agree. The people who do not pay income taxes are greedy. They want more and more benefits and money that they did not earn. Their greed is insatiable.

Liberal politicians have fostered this greed by giving more and more benefits in exchange for votes. Now the bag of treats is empty and the liberals have little, if anything, to offer in exchange for votes.

Yeah!

Those greedy poor folks!

If they were just smart enough to be born into millionaire families instead of poverty, America would be SO much better off.

Bag of treats lol!

Yes the hands are outstretched wide. It is a learned response and they receive positive reinforcement so the behavior becomes ingrained.

I AGREE! BoA, ExxonMobil, et al are all GREEDY and INSATIABLE. They ought to be flogged and burned in effigy!!!

Conservative politicians have fostered and spurred this greed by giving more and more benefits in exchange for a piece of the riches and their votes.
The bag of money is empty and the conservatives have little if any support to offer in exchange for MORE of the taxpayers MONEY!

There is that, yes. But you are saying, effectively, that the great majority of rich people are born that way. IRS statistics, from businesses, state that only about 20% of the rich in this county are that way due to inheritance. Are you saying that only the greed of the rich matters?

Are you saying that only the poorer people should be given free money or that no one should?

You ask if "only the poorer people should be given free money. . "

First, money is not "free" someone has to pay for it. Hello taxpayers!

Secondly shouldn't you have just said "only the poorer should be given money? Isn't "given free money" redundant?

Why should anyone be given money? Help them out yes, teach them how to be responsible. Teach them how to earn a living, stay on a budget. But giving them (free) money does nothing but reinforce dependency and the expectation that someone is going to take care of them.

I agree. Many people seem to think that expecting more than you deserve in not greed if you have much less than others. This is NOT the case.
