How about just make sure most people can attain jobs & jobs with living wages. Then they can go out & buy those ipods themselves to help stimulate the economy a little.

I still want to know what the lib-think definition is of a "living wage."

Tough to say, it depends on the area. $12/hr. minimum in any area would be a good start.

Obviously you can't do much except exist on 12 an hour, can't support a family may even mean living with your family.

I can see a college student making this an hour living at home. Or maybe a women working part time who has a husband with a good job who doesn't need it to make ends meet.
But if you don't have any marketable skills than realistically this may be the high end of the scale for some. I know some people who work in a call center type setting that make this.

But it certainly can't be a federal minimum wage. Way too much. Not realistic for a min wage.
I don't know what the current federal min wage is and certainly don't know anyone making min wage. Do you?
