Sorry, the GOP has passed TWO bills, the dems in the Senate? ZERO.

It will be obama's veto of a miniscule $12 BILLION CR that shuts the government down, as he refuses to pay the troops.

I blame every person in the entirety of Congress - whether Republishi* or Democrap.

For the record, while I'm not gloating, I certainly don't care that they're losing jobs or pay. We all have bills. And I'm sure not one of them cared at all that I lost my job.

Let's ALL sacrifice during these tough times. About time the entitled class had a taste of that sacrifice.
What's really sad in this... is that "essential" (mission critical) military personnel who will not only be forced to continue working, but be forced to continue working without pay for an unspecified period of time. Unlike a civilian job where you can laugh at your boss's face for suggesting you work without pay - they'll be locked up as criminals if they don't do the work.

Those people, I would hope people care about.

Who's choice is that, to not pay the troops? The GOP has funding for the troops in the CR for the rest of the fiscal year. The abortion rider in DC has been voted on by obama and the dems in the past.

Republicans? You need to get your facts straight. Congress (D) never bothered to put a budget together. The R's put through a CR for another week. Obama (D) is going to veto it.

I'm sorry - who exactly is shutting down the government?

AND, the GOP has ALSO passed a budget (which the democrats never did btw) for the remainder of the fiscal year.

The democrats in the Senate have done NOTHING, but that was their plan all along.

H.R. 1297 will take that choice away from Obama, and ensure that the troops are paid. It is entitled "Ensuring Pay for Our Military Act of 2011" and cosponsored by 106 members of the House.

The Dems are flat out refusing to accept a budget unless they get everything they want. I don't think we can avoid a shutdown with the Dem party of no in the Senate and White House.
