And instead of watching Glen Beck draw on a chalk board and serve up conspiracy theories you'd be stuck with listening to the ramblings of the town drunk at the local saloon...

Actually that sounds much more enjoyable. Plus whiskey was way cheaper back then.

I'm with the person who likes indoor plumbing.

And not having sewage in the street. And not dying of cholera. I always raise my eyebrows at people who claim people were "fine" a hundred years ago. They weren't. They died a lot more often. In many more painful ways. I think if most people were to go back 100 years they'd change their mind based on smell alone. Technologies and medical advances still have to be maintained, and unfortunately there isn't always money to be made in maintaining them, so claiming the free market will take care of everything is total fantasy. So enjoy your yellow fever! Hopefully you can get the vaccination, but given the laws of supply and demand, golly, that sucker is gonna be expensive!

Public unions are thieves, so 100 years ago to eliminate thieves ? No problem.
Taxpayers shoudn't be stolen, it's socialist, it's not American.

You are slandering hundreds of thousands if not millions of Americans. They're not thieves, they're working Americans, who have banded together to negotiate wages, benefits, etc. They have signed legal contracts with governments that should be honored. Unions have always had their problems but the real thieves are the rich and their corporations. Go to today's San Diego Union Tribune and read a couple of articles written by government employees and then be quiet.

Kind of silly that people think that they didn't have things like indoor plumbing, septic fields (which incidentally are similarly designed to the ones we use now - only difference now being slightly better design due to soil engineering knowledge), and other assorted amenities.

There was nothing in the original question which dictated that either: (a) you had to go to a place that didn't have such things, or which was not to your liking. Hypothetically.... since it is just a hypothetical for fun..... you can go wherever you find most appropriate to your liking, and perhaps more importantly, (b) there's nothing that say's you can't bring certain future knowledge back with you and apply those more modern things to your home, assuming you were planning to visit longer term.

Everyone living in cities at the turn of the 20th century obviously had indoor plumbing, city water, and either gas-lighting or electricity.

However, if you lived in a rural area, you had no choice but put in your own well. Electricity was not widely available across the nation until the 1930s, which meant that you had to hand-pump the water you were going to use from your well. This is why most homes in rural areas did not have indoor plumbing. A separate outhouse was a lot easier to build, and does not require electricity, or depend on city-provided water. Outhouses are still in use today in Alaska's bush community, for the same reasons.

As far as knowledge is concerned, it works both ways. Yes, you definitely could bring back knowledge you have gained to make improvements in the past. But there is also knowledge from 100 years ago that has been completely lost today. For example, how many people today know what an "adze" or "draw knife" is, or how to use them?
