The really cool part of eliminating the collective bargaining aspect is that the Union workers can now pay their dues directly to the Union, rather than the state taking those dues out of their paychecks and distributing to the Unions. Kinda like making Union membership a choice.

Money spent always has more value than money never owned. More Union employees can now look for accountability from their Union bosses.

The side benefit is that the state won't be collecting the funds that are then used for political causes.

WI, your governor is a dishonest man!

He has shown his true colors and more is to come!
Once the dems are back doing their duty, it will be reinstated into the budget repair bill.

I have been lobbying the Senate in WI to do just what they did tonight. Get it done, get it over with, cause the democrats would never negotiate in good faith, the union bosses would never allow that.

Keep that lie up, it is so flattering.

The emails Walker released (clever move there) contradict the above. The democrats were not negotiating in good faith, had no intention of negotiating and were only there to try and run out the clock.

You are a lobbyist of the WI senate for what special interest group?

No one said they haven't. Wages aren't the issue, just public unions medical/pension perks.

Sad day when people have lost respect for teachers, police, firefighters, emergency operators, prison guards, etc.........
No one has lost respect for them. They've lost respect for the taxpayers, you know, the people paying medical and pension benefits out of their pockets to public unions as well as for their own.

Taxpayers get no perks. Taxpayers get taxed more to pay public union perks.

It's either pay something toward your own medical/pension, get laid off, or lose your job altogether. Many Americans from the middle class have already lost their jobs, homes, medical and pensions. Just because you join a public union doesn't mean you should be guaranteed a job, free medical coverage and a free pension for life. No one in indispensable.

Probably not. Once this is over, once the unions admit defeat and go home, the electorate will realize that Walker has the state back on solid fiscal ground.

Out of state you mean, where they are sending out applications for outsiders to come into WI and organize the recall effort.

The unions are threatening businesses that support Walker. The usual strong-arm, bullying tactics.
