What I want as a liberal is a NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO and PUBLIC BROADCASTING SYSTEM. I don't agree with everything I hear on NPR, don't "love" all the programming. That should tell you that NPR does not just "support my liberal agenda"..........not sure exactly what you think my "liberal agenda" is........

So tell me, which liberal agenda does "Car Talk" support?
Still waiting for a valid reason why tax payers should have to fund these groups. Let donors, sales, ads, etc fund them. NPR/PBS lean left, but that is besides the point. No matter which way they lean the gov has no business using our money to fund them.

I don't really mind funding NPR. I just think that they need to fire a lot of people first. You cannot have a publicly funded media outlet headed by far left or right whackos.
The people taped at that restaurant actually chuckled at being called National Palestinian Radio. That's grotesque.

I look at radio as a source of music, I never listen to talk radio. My only experience with NPR was a great Jazz station when I lived in NJ, I miss it. Personally I believe any government funded broadcast medium should be forbidden from airing political commentary but Jazz being such a distinctly American art form I do hope some music stations survive.

And I'm still waiting for an answer as to whether or not you intended to call me a "hack."

Thanks, I didn't think you could answer because there is no valid answer to support their funding with our money. It's just like with Unions. The ONLY reason liberals are so "for" them is due to their influence, power, and ability to promote and fund democrats.

If NPR leaned right and unions weren't the liberal machine they are, you wouldn't see a fight by liberals to continue supporting them.

It's pretty much an anachronism now.

And if the sky were green, it wouldn't be blue?

Yes, I support unions and the fact that they do have political power, just as corporations do now, by donating to the political candidate of their choice. And unions represent "the working people" not the ultra rich who make up the oligarchy this country has become.

And of course you don't have the courage to admit to intentionally calling me a "hack." I knew you wouldn't. I'm being kind by responding to you after your name calling.

Yes politically you are a hack. Sorry that you take offense to that but it's the truth and you're own comments back that up. You even realize the main reason liberals support the union power and npr is due to which way they lean and their support for the liberal agenda
