We've seen more publicized natural disasters from Indonesia, Haiti, etc. Now that it's a modern industrialized country, will there be endless telethons from the movie stars for Japan?

I guess it will depend on how much publicity and ego boosting "pats on the backs" the celebrities will get.

Japan is not Haiti, they have a better infrastructure for dealing with these kinds of disasters.

I wonder of Pat Robertson will say it's God's judgement?

Or was that just reserved for Haiti.

The celebs better come out for this as basically every entertainment medium we view them on is made in Japan!

Japan is a nation of intelligent, industrious, proud and highly organized people.

They thrive on self-sufficiency and peace.

My prayers go out to them and I'll be making a donation.

Or New Orleans... Remember Robertson said that Hurricaine Katrina was the fault of the gays or liberals or something.

Maybe if we had no income tax and our country had a limited government policy US citizens with their own money and more of it in their pockets while its instead government funds could do so much more.
I wish Japan the best.
This just goes to show any nation can suffer serious fates.
What do think would happen if we had one here.. We are 14trillion in debt..
Think about it?
