Okay, you may very well be right, unfortunately. I will not take that bet.

Seems you are the only one replying to my posts trying to inform folks of stuff happening other than "global warming".

I wouldn't even take my own bet.

You mean like the current extremely high levels of aurora activity?

We have been hit by three CMEs in just the last three months.

The amount of energy impacting our magnetosphere as we speak dwarfs the amount of energy that was released by the 9.1 quake in Japan, which was equivalent to 700 megatons of TNT.

For the last two days the northern-lights have been particularly strong. It is going to be a clear night again tonight, so I am hoping to get some good photographs.

all these earthquakes could be increasing from isostatic rebound as ice sheets, glaciers, melt it distibutes mass ,weight in different locations the oceans are getting heavier.

There are only two things Alaskans watch during the month of March:
  • The Iditarod; and
  • The Aurora Borealis.

My sister was stationed in Alaska for a number of years (US Coast Guard) and spoke of that.

Hope you get some great pictures tonight.

That reminds me. We better remeasure Denali (Mount McKinley for you lower-48ers ). I will wager that it has grown as a result of this great quake.
