I don't think it "saves" anything in this 24 hour world. There may have been a case for it back in WW II when we were more of a "9-5" society. It certainly doesn't help to switch this early, when it makes it dark when people get up. That's no energy savings at all.

Arizona is too hot in the summer. Can't do that.

It is good for working outside in the summer.

I think it does save energy.

If we can get a job done in one trip rather than two, there is a savings.

Many places have codes so, we can't just starte early.

I'd like an explanation how this is going to work ... Everyone switches to GMT/UTC ?
It wouldn't be too bad for those close to England but those in NZ or Hawaii might not like it much.
Behind the scene, everything already uses GMZ and auto-corrects depending on your time-zone.

Is it dark when people get up? There are plenty of people who get up at 7 am or later. And a lot more people out around 6-7 pm who could use the daylight than at 6 am.

I like that daylight savings time, it's more practical to wake up around sunrise.

Well, amazingly, some of us have jobs that require getting up before 7 AM. I think it will be pretty dark tomorrow morning at 6:30 AM.

You are an arguer, nei, especially with me. There's always a "yes, but". It's been light in the evening, say 6 PM, for weeks now. According to Accuweather, the sunrise/sunset for today in my town is 7:16 AM and 6:04 PM. It takes an hour or so for it to actually get dark after sunset. Kids have to catch the school bus at ~6:50 AM to get to high school here. They will be walking to the bus stop in the dark.
