We aren't going to war. Good God. We might low a few cruise missiles over there but stop acting like we will be going in Iraq-style.

So you believe the US should have intervened militarily and on our own?

It would be odd to topple Saddam, while leaving Libya's dictator in power, watching him bombing his own people. This is a good opportunity for the West to win the hearts of Arab people by finally taking the right side.

Even if it were true, who the hell would we be supporting in this fight, our president has not thrown the US behind any person, group or organization.

There have been changes in politics in countries where the new leaders were more vicious and brutal then those they replaced.

Maybe Germany or the EU should have invaded then.

Canada is looking better and better every day.
The best thing for America to do is/was support Gaddafi. To support the rebels is to fall into a trap we can not win.

The whole idea of "democracy" in the middle east is insane... they're Muslims!

We supported the democratic peoples uprising in Iran by urging the Shaw to leave. What did that get us?

In 1991 we made the tragic mistake of supporting the peoples of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia against Saddam Hussein when what we should have done was support Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait while encouraging him to strike deep into Saudi Arabia taking the oil fields.

If we had only done that 9/11 and Gulf War II would never have happened saving thousands of American lives (isn't this what our government should be doing?) instead of squandering treasure.

Sorry if I sound harsh but the very notion Muslims are fighting for "freedom and democracy" is laughable something only the most gullible would believe. Come on, we cheered the Egyptian People's in their revolution and already we are finding them on the verge of instituting a government run by Mullah's and crazed Muslims.

The best thing for us would be to have the middle east embroiled in constant wars between themselves which would force them to pump ever more increasing amounts of oil for the cash to feed their military machines and we can sell them ours. It's a win for us all the way around!

Maybe, but Germany's gay foreign minister doesn't have the balls to support such action
