And if he went full steam ahead with whatever plan he thought was best, you would criticize that as him leading us into another war; you righties are criticizing him right now for not getting us out of Afghanistan. However, did you hear? The Republican congress defeated an attempt to get our troops out of there either yesterday or this morning. See, that's how our country works; the president can state his goals but that does not mean they can be accomplished. Getting our troops out of Afghanistan would be good for everyone; why did republicans stand in the way of that happening?

So, what would be an acceptable solution to the crisis according to you?
The first thing to realize is that it isn't a crisis. Gadfly will simmer down once we put a smart bomb or two down his throat.

However, this thread isn't about Gadfly, it is about the

Epic Fail that is "our" President, BO (which is kinda ironic when you realize how bad he stinks as a President, just like he stunk in Illinois voting "present" 170 times (now that is political cowardice if ever there was any).

Trump his azz in 2012, give hime a pack of Camels and a Case of Old English and a "boot" in the arse.

However with the government. We have to accepted his wrong doing by saying we cannot do anything until his term is done.
In theory you would fire him the next election.
Also in theory the press would have pounded him with questions regarding his background all before he got to be a serious candidate.

Had this been instead of Obama a George W. Bush Republican who hung out in racist churches, had no job ever in the real world and hung out with American terrorist as mentors, well George would have never made it past the primaries.
As a half black man who could make history and as a radical liberal socialist who has a nice voice the press anointed him and never bothered to ask any tough questions. Obama was their boy!

It's been a problem with our press for some time IMO.

No. Wishful thinking on your part, but then you're unaware of how the government is supposed to work.

Not only is Obama the probable weakest President, but with his family he seems real cheap, unless USA picks up the tab.
Remember that brother who lived on $20 a year? Our President never even sent him another $20 to double his standard of living, yet some of the people who voted for this turd believed he would do something good for our country when he wouldn't even help his own brother.

The UK press is talking about it, just wait till serious discussions start about this in the American media.

The vigilantes never cease, do they. Remember the days when we respected our presidents, and didn't go out looking for more dirt to sling at them?

I believe President Obama's walking a tightrope in this situation, and if you ever watch a tightrope walker, they have to be able to move with the changing swing of the rope. There is a lot of stake in this arena, and diplomacy requires protecting the interest of all stakeholders to avoid another escalating conflict.

Of course, the war mongers among us would prefer former the Presidents' Bush style of going in shooting like John Wayne, but that is not the way of a civil, legal minded society interested in humane principles and peace.

Far more than you probably, already forgetting when Bush threatened them then Libya wet themselves and turned over all their WMD?

Then there is this:
"We decided on an immediate ceasefire and on an immediate
stop to all military operations," Foreign Minister Moussa Koussa
told reporters in Tripoli on Friday, after the U.N. Security
Council passed a resolution authorising military action.

WRAPUP 6-Libya declares ceasefire after West threatens attack - Yahoo! News (http://ca.news.yahoo.com/wrapup-12-un-okays-military-action-libya-gaddafi-20110317-170506-153.html - broken link)

So they respond to a show of force, don't they?
