Like the one to leave an elected office after 17 months because she got a better offer, then blame it on trying to save the taxpayers money because she was being sued?
The attraction is simple, though it was somewhat cleverly choreographed. Part of it is that she uses "catchy" phrases that mean little but have mass appeal. She parrots back what hard core tea party types want to hear.
As far as her standing up for what she believes in, most Alaskans know better than that now. At one point she believed in a certain bridge but when it became politically expedient for her to do so, she threw an entire Alaskan city under the bus. She also threw the North Slope oil industry under an even bigger bus though.
Her popularity continues to rise among obsessed Democrats and liberals who can't get enough of her, and the mainstream media who have been having terrible Palin-withdrawal symptoms since they declared February a "Palin-free month".

I guess we have to ask, among which Republicans? Must have been a liberal that wrote that!
Exactly. She was never popular among Republicans who don't view her as a true conservative, she's more of a populist.
With the 2012 elections coming up, the Republicans want to avoid a loony tunes event again.
Good luck with that, with Bachmann talking of running loony tunes will be right there for everyone to watch.
As for Palin who cares, she needs to stick to making her money by fleecing her sheep, the one talent I know she does have.
