Yes, radiation kills cells, cancer and otherwise. You have to be careful not to "kill the patient to cure the disease".

I wonder if the right will search for raidiation with which to expose themselves?

Did you notice that she never once mentioned Cesium or Iodine? She mentioned radon, but not cesium.
