Get rid of some Congressional perks, yes. But prohibit them from receiving trips from lobbyists and contributors. And make sure that campaign contributions actually go to campaigns.

From Social Security web site.....

The Social Security tax rate for 2011 is 13.3 percent on self-employment income up to $106,800. If your net earnings exceed $106,800, you continue to pay only the Medicare portion of the Social Security tax, which is 2.9 percent, on the rest of your earnings.

What was your question?

casper has hit most of my list to cut. I would cut most subsidies. I would also legalize pot for the tax revenue and remove tax exemption from churches.

  • Get OUT of Iraq NOW and get out of Afganistan as soon as possible.
There are a few for starters. Thoughts?

I think Casper by far has the best list. One most on both sides could agree to.
Kudo's Casper.

Pull the military out of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Stop all welfare to businesses...I mean subsidies.

I'd legalize most drugs and tax them. Saving Billions on enforcement and collecting Billions in new tax revenues.

Stop subsidizing gasoline.

Cut Congressional salaries by 10% to 20%.

Stop people from collecting Social Security benefits if they make over $250,000.00/year.

Raise taxes on the rich.
Not a liberal, but I agree with pretty much everything you said.
