Exactly. All I asked is if you can be patriotic when you hate or despise a significant portion of your fellow citizens (Blacks, Asians, Hispanics, immigrants, gays). That's it.

REALLY! You really really believe you're above reproach just because you're easily offended and masterful at deflecting responsibility for your own culpability? The fact you've got people agreeing with your persecution complex only tells me the brainwashing is thoroughly saturated in conservative thinking making you incapable of reason. You know, like Al Sharpton, only for white folks.
There is a difference between "hating" and "despising" a group of people and taking certain exceptions with some of their actions. You seem to see things in black and white. Unless you're extremely ignorant, you should be able to see the error in the premise of your thread. Then again, liberals are funny creatures......

By the way, half of the people responding so far agree that you can hate or despise half of your nation and still be patriotic. Do you agree with them?

If they are half, then your post is geared towards the "other" half that you claim "hate" and "detest" those that you mentioned. That was the half I was referring to.
Why do you use such strong words as hate and detest? Do you really feel this opressed?
By the way OP do you even know what Patriotism is
Its letting some blow hole holler at funerals and not ripping their lips off
