My age not going there. But ROCK AND ROLL IS HERE TO STAY! I can apprecaite a lot of the music today, a sign of the times, but i still cannot get away from the good old days. Love Pop, Rock, Blues, hip Country, Jazz, just no rap, can't seem to hang with it.

I'm over 60 as well and I think music today is as good, or better, than it's ever been! (Except for what passes as "country. ) Modern pop and rock is about all I listen to.

These are two of my favorite artists. Incidently, they too wrote these tunes. (The second one was Amy Winehouse, but it's been disallowed by YouTube.)

Good music exists today you just have to know where to find it. There are some "diamonds in the rough" so to speak. Someone already showed the Christina Perri song "Jars of Hearts" which is an excellent song. Is there some crap? Yeah, but I listen to some older music as well and some of that isn't all that great. Just because a song is old doesn't make it a "classic."
