Just don't call it welfare, call it an 'investment' and they're good to go.

1) The fact that they laid off 18,000 employees, has NOTHING to do with the grants
2) What was the grants for? I thought you liberals supported investing in energy efficiency.. Now you dont?
3) How do you know GE wasnt going to lay off 25,000 employees, and the $24M actually "saved" 7,000 jobs? Yeah, I know, I'm just making this up, but isnt that what you guys are doing as well?
4) The $4M bonus again has nothing to do with the grants either.
5) Yes.. as the CEO, if you can generate $24M in "grants", increase company profits, return profits to the investors, which include unions, seniors, households, pensions etc, then you are entitled to a bonus.. Thats how you get PAID..
6) I did not support the stimulus fund at all, so spare me the claim about me supporting it because you are talking to the wrong man on that issue.
7) You do realize it was conservative opposing the stimulus and liberals supporting it, right?

HELLO? ANYONE HOME? It was LIBERALS who supported the stimulus bill, because Obama told you it was saving MILLIONS of jobs.. NOT conservatives.. Funny how you support something, then ridicule those who opposed it by making claims they supported it.

Them that has lots; gets. Them that has little; gets robbed.

Eventually all these companies dependant on people buying their stuff on credit will go down when all their customers run out of credit because they lost their income because some CEO cut their jobs. We need to return to a cash economy and tax these management thieves out of their misbegotten gains.

I have no problem with capitalism and free markets but our economy is neither. It is socialism for the few at the expense of the many. It is well organized looting.

You have no idea what I support/don't support.

I know I've been down the road before when I thought I could actually have a reasonable discussion with you yet you proved me wrong with lame attempts at making something a left/right issue when it wasn't.

Unlike many I learn from my mistakes.

Actually it was YOU that made claims that I supported the stimulus bill.. You said I'd support it if it was called an "investment"

You were responding to a poster speaking to ME.. Maybe you are having trouble following along with the thread.. You said I would support the stimulus (even though records are VERY clear that I didnt), if it was called "an investment".. I even quoted you as saying it..

If you cant follow along with the thread, then stop posting..

Disgusting.

But there's a conservative for you. The 60k a year teacher is the source of all evil while the 60 million a year CEO is the source of all that is good.
