When minorities experience bigotry and discrimination, they don’t have to be told about it by anyone. Given that so many white Christian males are claiming that they’re the real victims of discrimination, the more pertinent question is;
Is it persecution complex if you are a majority?
Wow. Are you clairvoyant? How did you derive clueless white from that? Careful. The slope that is racism is a slippery one!
I don't think it is up to you to decide if there is racism or not: even if you are native American.
I think it IS up to me. I am not going to be told how to think, and when I see BS claims of racism, I will not hesitate to call it out. Besides, I never said there is no racism, certainly there is. But victim mentality causes the said "victim" to perceive most the bad things that happen to them to be racism if the person doing it is a different race. It is not just blacks that have this issue, it happens in all races.
No, spoken like a well informed human being. I don't have a persecution complex, the only complaint I have is that a realistic conversation is rare because minorities are too busy yelling racism even when it is absolutely obvious there is none.
Oh, and FYI, I'm part native American, so think twice before you categorize and start jumping to conclusions.
Well informed by who or what?!?
If you were actually informed by people who’ve experienced bigotryand discriminationfirst hand, you wouldn’t have written such nonsense. No, I suspect you’ve been informed by the likes of Glenn Beck, or a Sarah “I’m a moron” Palin.
This reminds me of the ‘debate’ about whether homosexuals are born that way or if it’s merely a lifestyle choice.
Who’re you going to believe about this subject, a conservative preacher who’s had no direct knowledge or experience, or 98 percent of gays who say that they’ve felt that way since childhood?
Is it really a persecution complex if you are a minority and you believe you have had a "rough life"? Gay, lesbian, transgendered, atheist, Jew, Muslim, Black, Hispanic, poor, disabled, fat, nerdy, etc. Or is there simply a lack of empathy and insight from the majority who refuse to acknowledge the variety of adversities, tribulations, and difficulties that are part of life ?
The reason why I post this is because there seems to be a lot of friction between minority groups and majority groups and political groups that is prevalent even on this forum. Each group and individuals are trying to get their voices and needs met but are people really empathizing and trying to instill harmony? Or is there more blaming of "persecution complex" ,when we know that labels only hinder others, than actual real civility?
ROFL........"EVEN ON THIS FORUM"....like it's a liberal forum.....This Forum can be extremely hostile and upsetting...I have had to put 20 posters on ignore so far because they regurgetate the same old and hateful rhetoric.
I still need to keep my airplane borrowed barf bag nearby for when I read some of our more "illustrious" poster's posts. It's a "hatefest" in here....plain and simple!

Maybe they speak directly to God and therefore have the ultimate source.
