Would you like to bet about who knows more about amending the Constitution of the United States, you or me? I think from reading what you say you have no idea at all how it is done, but maybe you can tell me what you know and prove me wrong.

That requirement was put in the Constitution for a very good reason. It was done to keep any royalty from Europe from coming over and getting the job, more than anything.

Oh well, I will wait on your explanation about amending the Constitution.

You are not comprehending what I say. How old are you? And all of your points are invalid. The U.K royal family isn't interested. Sorry.

You are wrong when you say an amendment would open the door to further changes. It would not. It would specifically deal with this issue and you know that.

The President Pro Tem of the Senate would take over under current law.

AFAIK there has never been a Speaker or President Pro Tem who hasn't been natural born. There have been at least two Secretaries of State who have been foreigh-born: Henry Kissinger and Madeline Albright.

Carnegie being British born is one example (although I'm surprised you mentioned him, as he was the George Soros of his day and just as derided by right wingers as Soros is now). Carl Schurz would have made a better US president than any of the post-Civil War 19th century US presidents. Not to mention that Winston Churchill had dual UK/US citizenship (at the time of his birth that was the only permissable dual citizenship recognized by the US) and if he'd been born in his mother's country rather than his father's could concievably have been a US president. Robert Wagner Sr. was also qualified to be POTUS. Etc. etc. etc.

I think all restrictions on president should be removed. It should be up to the voters to decide who they want. Let the majority decide.

That would be chaos, mob rule, unsafe, and not a good idea for the Republic.

This clause exists only due to the dislike of Alexander Hamilton. The ignorance of history, especially by the people who prostrate to the Constitution and dress like minutemen, is astounding!

A dead issue. George W Bush wanted that in the hope that Schwarzenegger could run. Now he is a GOP pariah. Obama would never propose it. You wouldn't get even a majority of states, much less the 38 needed for passage, to ratify it.
