The Census story is a shocker. First, according to the Times, the Blacks leaving tend to be the “younger and better educated”. Second, the three states Blacks left in largest numbers don’t just include snake-bit Michigan; the other two are Illinois and New York. Within those states, Chicago and the city of the New York (widely considered among the most successful cities in the country) are the places Blacks are deserting. 17 percent of the Black flight from Big Blue is from the Empire State; after almost a century of trailblazing social policy, New York State has succeeded in creating the most hostile environment for Blacks in the country.
I applause any race who decides to leave those Bastions of Liberalism. My only question would be "What took you so long?"
They were poor, they couldn't leave..Now more of them middle-class or upper middle class so they can leave.
And black immigrants prefer the South (Nigerians in Texas, Haitians in Florida..)

Here's something for you to think about, if enough Black Ameicans flee Blue States for Red States at some point some of those Red States won't be Red anymore. In the last election North Carolina and Virginia both went to President Obama. If you were to add Georgia to that all of a sudden it gets harder and harder for Republicans to win presidential elections. And they have to spend more money competing in those states to try to win them.
Another thing to think about, if the Latino population contnues to increase in Texas and you get more people coming from Blue States like California, at some point in the next ten years Texas becomes a swing state.
The Republican Party has been depending on a Southern Strategy to win presidential elections since 1968. By 2020 that strategy will no longer work. What are Republicans going to do then to win national elections?

Actually New York City has a sizable immigrant population from the Caribbean Islands. Minneapolis has a large Somali and African immigrant population.

20 years ago liberals couldn't imagine Blacks leaving to red states, now you can see that massively.Maybe 20 years in the future 30% of Blacks will vote GOP ?

They won't need to do much after enough people wake up to reality and see that governing on hopes and dreams doesn't work and also understand that it doesn't take long for moonbats to run out of other people's money.
So do I, it means Republicans politician in statewide elections have to work harder to win.
Perhaps. I guess it depends on the reasons they left Blue for Red to begin with? Perhaps liberal policies have pushed them out? Perhaps taxes and corruption that often plague Big Blue Cities pushed them out? Perhaps they'd rather BE the change they want to see and ultimately pull the lever for more fiscally conservative candidates? We'll never know. Right now there's zero evidence that i've seen to suggest that the Red States are anywhere near ceding conservative power to liberal migrants.
