Ronald and Marti Wimmer don't want money from Facebook, they want the site to delete the gruesome photo that an EMT took of their murdered daughter and shared online. The parents have filed a lawsuit calling for Facebook to turn over the photo, destroy the images in its possession, identify those who downloaded it, and cooperate with victims' families in future, AOL reports.
EMT should be fired for stupidity. I sure wouldn't want that guy to come to my aid if I needed medical help.
Seriously, common sense is dead. We have to literally tell these idiots to not take photos of crime scenes and upload them to social media because, you know, it's tasteless, unprofessional, insensitive and rude.

People are very dumbed down nowadays. Everyone needs to have their hand held nowadays and be told explicitly what they can/should and can't do/shouldn't do
The law states that photos belong to the individuals who took them. While I find the whole thing sick, under what grounds would you demand someone else give up assets that they own? It gets even more complicated because Facebook doesnt own the photo, they are only distributing legally owned material. This would be similar to a reporter taking a photo for a newspaper..
The EMT(s) shouldn't just be fired, they should have their certifications pulled. Obviously they lack the proper judgement to be trusted in such a position of responsibility.
That may be true but in this case I think the idiot EMTs who posted the pics can and should be sued in civil court.
For what? Its no different than someone driving past the scene of an accident and taking a photo.. or you taking photos at a nude beach..
tasteless.. absolutely.. illegal.. nope..
