Any one see the reports out of Union Grove, Wis?

Where unions are going door to door to businesses, asking to place a sign in their windows, saying they support the unions. If they refuse, they later get a letter in the mail(written documentation) that they will be harassed and put out of business if they don't have a second thought about placing the sign in the window of their private mom & pop business(nothing to do with unions)

This has to be a criminal act.

It has to be.

The power of persuasion didn't work, so they turn to the persuasion of power.
A boot on your throat lady!!

Extortion and it's not working. In fact, there is a backlash.

Isn't it funny how the same exact posts show up on various boards at the same time?
Maybe not funny, just sad

Default This deserves a link

Review & Outlook: Wisconsin Unions Get Ugly - WSJ.com

Quote:
The missive concludes by noting that, "With that we'd ask that you reconsider taking a sign and stance to support public employees in this community. Failure to do so will leave us no choice but do [sic] a public boycott of your business. And sorry, neutral means 'no' to those who work for the largest employer in the area and are union members."

So even businesses that stay neutral in the political battle are considered the enemy and will be punished. Charming stuff, and especially coming from a union that claims (wrongly) to be losing its constitutional rights. Free speech for others apparently isn't all that important.

One of the Wisconsin business owners of a threatend store said her business has been booming since the threat letter was publicized. She said people are driving in from Ohio to patronize her Wisconsin "dollar store". She has posted a sign in her store window stating that she supports Union Bay and does not support bullying.
