Are you also encouraging of burning other sacred texts like the Bible and the Torah just because as an American you have a right of freedom of speech? If everyone went around doing this, there would be HELL. Religion takes a toll on people's lives and beliefs and so people will go very far to defend their religion. The burning of Quran was unnecessary. If his point was to prove how violent the Muslim religion was, explain to me how it would prove that? Because of this are people gonna go, "OMG A CHRISTIAN PRIEST BURNED THE QURAN SO IT REALLY MUST BE A VIOLENT RELIGION!" People don't understand the irony in this! So in Christianity, you are encouraged to burn other religion's sacred texts just cause you believe it's so violent? And hell, aren't priests supposed to be role models for Christians? THIS GUY WAS CHARGED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY. This guy is also gonna sell his church, why would you sell a church? Doesn't he have respect for HIS religion? If he is a true Christian, he wouldn't even consider selling a church, even if he was poor. And then he goes on complaining about some other religion. Like wow, people are so dumb it sickens me. Also there are a few restrictions to freedom of speech, like you can't yell "fire" in a crowded theater. Why? Because that would cause chaos just as if someone were to burn someone else's religious sacred text. For goodness sake, 1.3 billion people follow Islam. If they don't believe their religion is violent, let them move on with their lives, DON'T WORRY ABOUT THEM. Goodness, nosy ass people.

I suspect your post was driven by emotion or feelings.

The TX event you just referred to is not "routine" in the US.

The "punishing" of rape victims in Islamic countries is routine whether you want to accept it or not.

Common sense tells me that even a die-hard feminist Progressive would choose life in a western nation over an Islamic one.

That is unless they're totally blinded by some twisted ideology.

I don't see anyone defending the actions of these people actually.

You are Bananas,

Arabian Muslims burn, trounce the Bible and the American Flag all the time.

Fire in a theater? By the way that's our law.

People in Yemen couldn't give a crap about a Quran burning in America.

THEY HATE US ANYWAY.

Arabs in that region don't give a flying fig about your feelings or mine.

They stone their women to death. They don't use toilet paper.

THEY KILLED OVER 3,000 INNOCENT PEOPLE IN NEW YORK.

If you don't think that there's a problem within the Muslim community - then you are a fool.

This is the 21st century. You don't teach your children to be suicide bombers or "Allah, Allah, Allah" your way through a mass murder like at Fort Hood.

1) If you burn or spit on a Quran, do you honestly believe that you should be killed? By Muslim idiots? Or their teenage suicide bombers?

2) Since they are hell bent on killing us anyway ( since we are the Great Satan ) and their goal is to snuff us out one by one, bloodily, what the hell difference does it make if we burn a stupid book or not?

If you're Irish - they'll kill you.
If you're English - they'll kill you.
If you're Jewish - they'll kill you.

THAT is the question.

Stop pandering to Islamic insanity. If you don't, you will find it has NO END. Are you willing to find out how far it goes?
Dhimmitude happens. Islam is counting on it!

Oh, it seems two of the UN staffers were beheaded by the soldiers of Allah's "religion of peace".

Two U.N. staff killed in Afghanistan were beheaded: police - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20110401/wl_nm/us_afghanistan_unitednations_deaths_6 - broken link)

MAZAR-I-SHARIF, Afghanistan (Reuters) – At least eight foreign U.N. workers were killed, two of them beheaded, on Friday in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif after a demonstration against the burning of Korans by a U.S. preacher, a regional police spokesman said.

"Eight foreigners were killed and two were beheaded," said Lal Mohammad Ahmadzai, a police spokesman for the northern region.

The people in here who are actually blaming Terry Jones for the Islamic extremists' murdering 20 innocent people kinda proves the point that liberals are the terrorists' greatest ally as they work to bring Sharia Law to take hold in the US, at the expense of our Constitutional rights.

The Causality argument makes zero sense here in the good old USA. This isn't the middle east where a girl getting acid thrown in her face as punishment for not wearing a scarf is considered a reasonable, acceptable, and justifiable punishment. Anybody who defends that is just as off-the-chain crazy as the Islamic extremists.

Think of it this way: If George Clooney burned a bible and then was murdered by a US militia, would you defend the militia using Causality logic? Or would you find their extreme reaction to Clooney's act barbaric, inhumane, un-American, and not fitting of the crime?

Timothy McVeigh blew up the Murrow Building because he was angry about the US government's intervening in Waco and Ruby Ridge. Should we blame Clinton as being the true murderer, having blood on his hands, since he was the one who ordered the government's actions?

Maybe now you'll get it.

I have a better idea: the media should completely ignore publicity-seeking rabblerousers like Terry Jones and not give him the TV time and attention he seeks.

The media have blood on their hands, for allowing Jones' actions to be telecast, knowing full well that the extremists on the other side of the world are always looking for any excuse to kill innocent people in the name of Islam.

If we are to see any success in the campaigns in the Islamic world, we must win the hearts of the people.

And you don't get anywhere by letting a wacko pastor commit a stupid act. He should have been arrested and prevented from it. But then, you run into the act of freedom crowd and it's a never ending vicious cycle
