Because we elect representatives to enact policies and those policies are funded by tax revenue. It would be chaotic to poll everyone to see what they are willing to fund and what they are not willing to fund. Don't you think?

Absolutely no government money is used for abortions. None. Zero. Zilch.

Anyone who says other wise is a complete liar.

What Planned Parenthood does is double dip the taxpayers dollar
1) They get money from the federal government for providing services
2) Then they bill insurance companies for providing abortions

I REALLY hope the Democrats filibuster and shut the government down. I'd LOVE to see them write their own 2012 death sentence!

Does anyone know why Planned Parenthood was funded by taxes in the first place? You know, if you started an organization that performs the same activities they do would you get federal funding, too?

All I know is that PP makes about $300 million a year in profit. They do a boatload of abortions. If you take away the money the government gives them, perhaps they will have to spend their money on those other services instead (if they really think they're that important in comparison to killing babies).

Federal funds only pay for abortions in cases of rape, incest and imminent danger to the mother. Do you mean to tell me that Conservatives think it is okay to force a woman to relive her rape everyday for 9 months? Of course they do, they have for some reason decided they need to be the voice of God for people.

And do you mean to tell me that abortion will prevent a woman from reliving her rape everyday for 9 months? Now, on anniversaries of her due date or the abortion she'll remember what might have been. 5 years later she'll think about how the kid would be ready for kindegarten. There will be other milestones as well.
