Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is coming under fire for the hiring of the 27-year-old son of an influential lobbyist to an $81,500-per-year job, ... The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Brian Deschane has no college degree, little management experience and two drunken driving convictions. Yet he was hired to a job overseeing environmental and regulatory matters and dozens of employees.
So teachers who have masters degree don't deserve their $50,000 salary, but a drunk with no degree deserves a $81,000 job????

Someone please explain this. I thought the state was broke?

Politics as usual, from a lying politician. You can bet your bottom dollar there was a more qualified candidate for this position, IF it was even needed in the first place. Walker is a typical lying, crooked politician; just like Christie. Walker's days are numbered.

I'm not seeing anything about this on the local Madison TV stations web sites.

No degree, little experience pay off big - JSOnline

Just another example of the radical right wing extremists at work...

There should be a preview (sort of) tomorrow of what we might expect in any recall elections.
It's the normally quiet election for some judges. This year, turnout is expected to be MUCH higher than normal and it will probably provide some insight into how the recalls of the Wisconsin Senators might go. BOTH sides were spending pretty heavily the last few days.

I thought the state was broke? What was all that talk about teachers not willing to take pay cuts or make sacrifices?

Why are you complaining? He did exactly what Obama said to do... "We're gonna punish our enemies and we're gonna reward our friends" - Barack Obama, October 2010

Do you all not like Obama anymore?
