I don't know where you people have been living since 2001 but I've seen tons criticism about Islam in the media. I dont see anybody tiptoeing around it. Are you to suggest that we round up all muslims and kick them out? If that is your definition of not tip toeing then I dont know what to tell you.

Oh and for the person that was comparing MLK's peaceful movement for civil rights to This "pastor" burning the koran, that has got to be the worse analogy ever. MLK did his peacefully and did not want to incite violence. The pastor did this to incite it.

Go a head an burn a koran in your backyard and put it on Youtube if it will make you feel better.

I might even burn an Islamic Republic flag too.

Gbagbo is an evangelical Christian who has been citing his Christian faith as motivating his decision to allow his country to descend into civil war, as noted by the quote by his wife I linked to.

So we'll take that as "No, I don't...but I don't want to admit that islam is more violent than Christianity"

Yeah, terrible hate speech here:

"God is leading our fight. God has already given us the victory,"

All I was asked was to name one person who has been killing in the name of Jesus Christ this week. Gbagbo has brought his country into a civil war because he refused to step down after losing the election. Gbagbo is an evangelical Christian who regularly invokes his religious beliefs as his motivation.

I'm not saying whether one religion is worse than the other, because that's not what I was asked to do. I was asked a simple question and I answered it, and I think it says something about the defensiveness of several posters here that they're trying so hard to excuse, or obfuscate, or just deny what is happening in Cote D'Ivoire right now.

The actions of the extremists DO have an effect on the moderate ones. The moderates won't DARE to speak out on any large scale basis, they know just how brutal these people are and are in fear of their own lives. They aren't helping anything but keeping the behavior alive and well.
And yet, so many Muslims not only speak out but actually put their beliefs into words, written or spoken. Remember the Times Square SUV with the bomb in it? Who first alerted someone to the fact that there was a problem? Another Muslim. Remember the subway bomber? Who turned him in? His imam. Who works undercover in mosques as informants to the NYPD anti-terrorism task force to alert them to the possibility of terror activity? Devout Muslims.

There is no way you don't know those things yet continue to perpetuate the stereotype. Why?

Look at all the retarded statements regarding women in burqas made about the Sufi congregation that wants to build the MCC on Park Place in NYC --and you cannot find a photo of Daisy Khan, the imam's wife, wearing even a scarf on her head. People choose to be stupid. It's so much easier to stereotype than to think.

Liberal political correctness. Because the Dhimmicrats say we must appease our enemies while painting our own citizens (Tea Party) as being the true threat to America.

Nobody knows why this is so.
