The Center for Immigration Studies found that 57 percent of households headed by immigrants collect at least one welfare check, compared to 39 percent for native households.
No wonder we are going broke.

When will people wake up and realize we can't keep doing this anymore?

This probably only applies to illegal immigrants, if that source is correct in the first place. Center for Immigration Studies seems to be a very dubious organization with its own anti-immigrant agenda.
Immigrants as the scapegoats for American failures, what else is new...

This must include illegals, because I do remember one statistic where it said naturalized U.S. citizens are the wealthiest group. We are awesome.

Too bad our elected officials on both sides are too scared of offending the Hispanic vote to put an end to cash and welfare bennies for the illegals in our country.

The Center for Immigration Study, the same organization that said Bush's Great Recession was caused by immigration? The same organization that was spun off by Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), the militant anti-immigration group? The same organization that is funded by right-wing foundations such as Sarah Scaife Foundation, John M. Olin Foundation, Jaqueline Hume Foundation, Carthage Foundation, and Scaife Family Foundation? Is it the one run by a retired Michigan ophthalmologist, John Tanton, the guy that said, "Do we leave it to individuals to decide that they are the intelligent ones who should have more kids?" That one?

Tell just how was this survey conducted? Did CIS ask people if the were illegal and if they go aid? And they all answered honestly?
