Again, just a slogan and nice talking point - the REALITY is something else.

Some in the press are catching on though.

PROMISES, PROMISES: Little transparency progress - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110314/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_sunshine_week_foia_2 - broken link)

WASHINGTON – Two years into its pledge to improve government transparency, the Obama administration took action on fewer requests for federal records from citizens, journalists, companies and others last year even as significantly more people asked for information.

People requested information 544,360 times last year under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act from the 35 largest agencies, up nearly 41,000 more than the previous year, according to an analysis by The Associated Press of new federal data. But the government responded to nearly 12,400 fewer requests.
How the White House Bullies the Press | The Blog on Obama: White House Dossier

Quote:
The White House bullies reporters to try to ensure favorable coverage. When White House officials, particularly members of the press office, see a story they don’t like, they often call and verbally abuse the reporter who wrote the piece.

In diatribes often peppered with obscenities, they complain of profound injustice, bias, lack of relevance – anything they can think of to get reporters to back off their story.

The President has been transparent from the beginning. Some people just don't like it when there is an adult in the WH.

I am now COMPLETELY sure that some left-wing liberals have had the "wool pulled over their eyes." I think some left-wing liberals are sheep just trying to find a shepherd. Well, liberals, you know all about shepherds and sheep, right??

Example "wool over eyes-blindness":

How can the Obama lovers be in such extreme denial??

I am finding this just plain disturbing. :

You make me laugh and the more you post the funnier you get. You should take your show on the road... a little further east than Florida, Bob.

Obama couldn't wait to take credit for the largest cut in spending ever. Yes the same cuts he called a "distraction" with Cantor saying "we have to drag this President kicking and screaming to the table".

It worked for Clinton, it'll work for him as well. Transparent as hell, but it'll work because the sheeple need a saviour. Mainscream press is already claiming 67% of the people credit Obama for getting this deal done? Do they honestly think we are this stupid? I think they confused the "people" with the "Democrats who were forced to vote for it with every intention of stealing the credit for it".
