It would be interesting to see how the C-D community would split up if given the option to move to their "perfect political situation".
Like the division of the Roman empire into east and west, this may be in our future.

Liberals could establish a "sub-nation" with a basis in socialism, while a conservative nation could be based on free market and personal enterprise.

We would have to build a pretty high fence in conservative land, as every citizen in liberal land who actually worked would want to flee that nation in a few years. A marked concentration of dependents and those without initiative would destroy liberal land.

The problem with "Liberaland" is that no one will want to work but will demand that they be taken care of by the govt. Who is going to pay the taxes to support you? Liberaland only works if their is a fat host that will pay for all the benefits you want.

But the liberals do not want to admit this! That is why their area would never survive - no 'rich' people for the government to fleece.

They tried that in the Soviet Union. You got a bunch of lazy drunks standing in line for toilet paper because no one bothered making more.

Sign me up for the Libertarian nation. I want to be free of government interference in my life, and tired of warmongering neo-cons and libs that cry and whine all day because they didn't get their handout.

No you're having California, that wonderful liberal utopia. You made your bed, now it's time to sleep in it.

Course we all know that the liberal nation would be first to go bankrupt because of excessive entitlements and the large tax base fleeing for dear life, the conservative nation goes bankrupt 2nd because of the bloated military budget , and the libertarian nation remains solvent because their currency is based on sound, real money that isn't subject to the limitations fiat currencies have

I feel that in a libertarian nation I might end up drinking water and breathing air tainted with factory pollutants. People will armed to the teeth. So I might as well be in a "survivalist" society for the purposes of this survey - though I like the overall principles of Libertarianism, I would not trust most people under this system.

I would like to live in an ecologically friendly society where scientific progress (but not entertainment technology) rules everything. Where fake businesses without products like "finance" and middleman services do not exist. Where quality of our products is more important than marketing and advertising. Where there are consequences for being lazy or unproductive, but everyone can easily find a role in society. And religion will have no part of politics.

I would not need to trade except for some rare raw materials because my society will be self-sufficient. Our technology will be superior so we will defeat the other nations quickly and take over. Muahaha.

I won't pick a place that has never existed... Libertariopia. I won't pick a place where freedom cannot exist... Conservatistan. I like not wasting my time trying to defend social liberties, and have to hunt for mutual respect. Liberaland would be it.
