This poll was taken from 824 people.

Gays think that if out of 824 people, that if 51% are tipping the scales in favor of gay behavior, then that is solid proof that America is finally supportive of man on man sex.

There are more than 300 million Americans. This poll is bogus.

But homosexuals just can't stop bitching. Don't tell us your problems. No one cares. And all the bitching in the world won't change society's perception of your lifestyle. If anything, you are making it less likely that anyone will listen to you.

[i] do not know how the poll was worded but most polls are worded in a way to get the response the interviewer would like or to attempt to get it anyway.

Please learn the first thing about statistics (or about a valid sample size) before making that argument again.

Nita, do you ever bother to read the story? This is about the third time I've told you that the story linked to in the OP has the answer to your question.

"Do you think marriages between gay and lesbian couples should or should not be recognized by the law as valid, with the same rights as traditional marriages?" The story linked directly to the poll, including a breakdown of the results and the exact question asked.

Finally, people are understanding the concept of legal marriage and the true meaning of social freedom and anti-discrimination. Definitions can be changed to suit changing times in the human race.
The long-term trend is that support for legal recognition of same-sex marriages increases by one to two percent annually. Regardless of where the national sentiment is at present (polls vary - this poll actually lags somewhat behind an ABC News/Washington Post poll from last month), the trend is clear and the ultimate outcome is equally clear.

There is nothing that says new laws need to be created for your protection, only that your protection under existing law is guaranteed to be equally applied by the state.
But if existing laws don't grant equal protection they have to be repealed. See Loving v. State of Virginia.

Incorrect. It would only violate the 14th Amendment if the law prohibiting same-sex marriage was not applied equally to everyone. If Alaska allowed some same-sex couples to marry, while not allowing other same-sex couples to marry, THEN Alaska would have violated the 14th Amendment. Upholding the law and applying that law to everyone equally does not violate the 14th Amendment.

Incorrect, again. If Alaska passed a law that prohibited homosexuals from driving, and it was equally applied to all homosexuals, then there is no violation of the 14th Amendment.

Soon enough the Supreme Court will hear one of these cases on appeal (most likely the CA case). I'll be you my entire life savings they uphold the lower court rulings, thereby striking down all state laws banning same-sex civil marriage (in what could very easily be a unanimous ruling).
The Alaska Supreme Court has upheld our state constitutional amendment prohibiting same-sex marriage. Since that is currently the law of the land in Alaska, then it must be applied equally to everyone or it would violate the 14th Amendment "Equal Protection" Clause.

almost all of these polls reach, at best, about 1000 people. The Gallup daily presidential job approval poll is only given to about 1500 people:

Interesting, isn't it?
You know what they say - the more anti-gay one is, the more likely one is to be in the closet. I think Yooper and Calvinist et al secretly have homosexual feelings and treating gays like total dirt in all these threads helps supress them.

Of course they will adamantly deny it, but we know the truth
