Aside from the fact that Finland shares a similar statist social model, a similar state/municipal taxation model, similar political systems and virtually open borders under the Nordic Council, yes, Finland is nothing like Scandinavia.
Ehm - Sweden? Fiercely independent, neutral Sweden? Sweden who makes its own top-notch fighter aircraft, anti-tank weapons, AFVs? Sweden who until 2010 had every able-bodied male undergo military training? That Sweden? (100+ years? WTF? The US secured Sweden in 1911?)
As for lack of color, well, Scandinavians like a bit of subtlety. If neon-colored billboards is what makes you feel at home, yeah - not the place for you.
Complete fail. The U.S. Bailed out Europe twice in the last 100 years including the Swedes. As well as beating down the Russian threat. Oh how quickly we forget. Its Ok lots of unpaid debt from Europe for those wars as well. I wonder how much you would have to raise taxes to pay back that debt with interest.

Basically that is the reason that Hitler got to the point he did and why most of europe was destroyed in WWII. Even now europe is reliant on US militray strength. That may not be poossible much longer and do not think europeans who have been reliant on US since WWII ;do not think about it. Also even with the low military defense spending europe is now facing massive cuts in most countires. Even in such thiongs as heallthcare they are facing a different future with the US having paid for 70% of medical reserch and drug reserch in the world;and likely not to in the future of socialist medicne.

Here in the Western World we use is frequently. We also tend to use spell check. Even if we conquered Europe in WW II it does not mean that we can decide to be totally lazy in our English language. I would definitely recommend that you use spell check before posting.
Scandinavia consists of Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland and sometimes Iceland.
Finland is not Scandanavia. Don't know where you're getting your info from. They are a totally distinct people from the Scandanavians. Their language isn't even close, and Finns don't even look like Scandanavians for the most part. They are much different culturally too.
The Finnish people and language are more closely related to Hungarians than anything else in Europe.
No, but I could be . Are you really that invested in the track of my life? I married an infantry officer. Perhaps you would like to interrogate him as to why we are not living in Scandinavia?
